“My Drawers” by Morris Day and the Time.
Had a bad week due to a cold, but the bright spot was overhearing a coworker I barely know singing “fishnets/black pantyhose” to himself in the copy room and engaging him in a Morris Day email conversation. Of course it was brief, because you can’t really get into what’s great about Morris Day and the Time over work email. Unless you want to raise a lot of red flags.

“Why don’t ya stay a while, see how it’s done”
“Fishnet” by Morris Day
The best news I’ve heard in a while, courtesy Howard Burchette on tonight’s Funk Show… a new album from Morris Day and the Time! (But they are going under the name The Original 7even.) Watching this video makes me positively gleeful.
Prince and Morris Day.
You’re not going to believe this, but the song “#Trendin’” by the Original 7ven (the band formerly known as the Time) is hot. Picture me, turning it up in my Oldsmobile, driving around town delivering cupcakes to libraries.
“#Trendin’” is a huge improvement over their last computer-themed song, 1990s “Data Bank.”
“Hey Yo” by the Original 7ven
Yeah, that kind of sexiness still exists!
The Time tries to do a sortof standard 2012 anthem but can’t help getting weird with it: magically delicious.
